Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to Bad Batch, season 3 episode 6! Oh dang!!! We're getting into the shadow clones! What a shame that they found us....that's like, terrible luck! We can also see some more conflict/adjustment for Crosshair in this one. And Rex!!! Omg!!! You guys, Omega better not get taken again! I'll scream! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

I love the realisation when watching this episode, with its title "infiltration" that this isn't about our heroes infiltrating to do some good. No, its the Empire coming for them and how dangerous these Clone X assassins are. It is a sick outfit Rex is wearing. As if he couldn't get any cooler, they put him in a poncho! It makes sense too as it hides his 501st armour underneath for covert ops like this, and if things do kick off, like they do here, he is protected. Good to see senators Chuchi and Singh back, and there is some subtle references to Palpatine being scared of people uniting against him. While I never actually think of Darth Sidious being scared of anything, one thing he would be concerned about, is losing power (something he references in Revenge Of The Sith at the opera scene with Anakin when speaking of his master Darth Plagueis), hence why the Empire ramps up militarisation to keep controlled worlds in check. And then there is the Death Star too, and Project Necromancer in case his body perishes and what they are seeking Omega for. Before they can delve more deeply into it though, the assassin comes for them. Rex is a boss as always and they manage to stun him before taking him back to their base on Teth (which you saw all the way back in the Clone Wars movie Mel when Ahsoka and Anakin climb that cliff-face. It was also in the Ahsoka series when she is in purgatory and wakens up as her younger self in the clone war). I love Omega mimicking Crosshair on the ship. We've seen her do that with the others, but she's never spent time with Crosshair before now, so is trying to emulate and learn from him also. Its rather sweet. Also love Echo telling Omega to keep the other clones in line. She's more mature than many of them in spirit! :D Howzer going in hard on Crosshair. Understandable since many of his clones got killed by the Empire that defected with him from Ryloth. I like Hunter sticking up for him though telling Howzer to back down. They learn about the experiments on M-count stuff (though not the details yet) and Crosshair tells them about the Clone X programme, and what Hemlock is doing to clones on Tantiss. Hearing how twisted that clone assassin was in his line delivery shows how messed up they must've become to become this. It kind of reminds me of how some Inquisitors get made later, through torture until they break their psyche. Clone X2 (is the name the community have given this one who is causing them all grief) is damn good at his job and has our heroes on the run. Then backup arrives for him bringing everyone into danger. And the clone commander at the end who turns around, you do know him. More next ep ;)

I should point this out while I’m thinking of it - it’s not a big deal for this particular reaction, but when you got to the credits section, I noticed it seemed like your OBS capture display is a bit… misaligned? You might want to check it before you film again. It’s a little ironic that the Empire has forced together both Republic and Separatist personnel. The “shadow clones” referred to themselves as “true believers,” but based on the knowledge being put together in this episode, it’s just looking like they’re another one of Hemlock’s “projects.” I don’t remember the exact details, but I believe Senator Chacchi (?) was targeted on Coruscant because of getting too close to “sensitive information.” Obviously, this is gonna take a lot more savvy to get out of in one piece - and now that they KNOW Omega is on site - we’ll, let’s just say that drops their odds of escaping cleanly. Also, it’s a good point to remember that Crosshair didn’t just alienate his own team, he was a thorn in the side of a lot of people. He’s got what we like to call… “baggage.” We’ve discussed this before but I was thinking it’d be really interesting if you could see Dee Bradley Baker during one of his voice recording sessions for this show, I bet it would be quite entertaining. Especially when you realize he’s doing just about every clone voice in here except Omega. I will tell you that this was actually part of a two part episode drop with the next release, but considering the # of episodes in the season (15, with the final episode double sized on its own), it’s better to just leave it on the cliffhanger and not have to do more or less later. Also don’t threaten a show with screaming. You do that regardless. Your dog can attest to your volume level. :P

Yeah I noticed that, it seems like only the parts with a black screen were cropped weird? Not sure why! Yeah when you think about it, the Separatists are kinda rebels now :P Right, I remember when Chuchi was in trouble for getting too close to what Hemlock was doing. I know, now our crew is really gonna have a hard time keeping a low profile! You're right, Crosshair did a lot of damage. Oooh I'd love to see Dee doing his thing in the recording room haha, I'll have to look up some videos once I'm caught up. Right, it's hard to do more than 2 at a time right now anyway! Especially since these are closer to 30 mins than 20 mins like an anime ep. HAHAH my dog can't take any more noise :P

Ohhhhh you're so right about the title, I hadn't even thought about that! For real, Rex is such a boss here, even more so than usual!!! That's so true, if there's one thing that "scares" Palpatine, it's losing power. That was such a great scene in RotS!! He's got all kinds of machinations and plans in place, this time Omega is the key to one of them. Ohhhhh I didn't even realize I'd seen that base in the movie! I know, it's so awesome to see what Omega has picked up from Crosshair! Well, Omega is technically the oldest! ^_^ That's the thing, you can't really blame Howzer. It is sort of like the Clone version of Inquisitors, isn't it??? Clone X2, got it! Oooohhh I do know that clone commander? Interesting....!!!!!!!!!! XD
