I remember when the Clone Wars CG series first came out I went out of my way to avoid it... for one I really enjoyed the Clone Wars 2D animated miniseries, and then the Attack of the Clones movie actually came out, and let's just say I was... underwhelmed. So I figured the show would be more like the movie than the miniseries... and I guess in some ways it was. But I think it was still better than I assumed it would be, and I could understand why it had such a strong fan base. The show was still pretty weak at times, though... I mean, I know Star Wars is kind of a tropey, simplistic story, but the show literally named a bad guy "Savage Oppress". Like... that's not even a nickname thing (like "Darth Vader")... that's the dude's actual name.
