I've noticed that a lot of artists seem to have characters for a comic that they want to create, but they never take that final step to start making a comic. Either they want to improve their technique more before committing to something like that, or they simply can't justify the amount of time it would take to create a comic series, especially one that updates regularly. I think my perspective on the idea is a bit skewed... I've always found it easier to work on comics. I find it helps to direct me to have a story to focus on... in a comic I always know that the next thing I'm supposed to draw is just whatever happens next in the story. If I was tasked with just making up a brand new, unrelated pinup every day I feel like I would have trouble deciding what to draw every day.
