I actually hadn't noticed that the character revealed in yesterday's strip resembled a character from My Little Pony. The character design comes from Dr. Sharktopus, and he admits that it was inspired by the character "nightmare moon" from that series. I wasn't aware of it at all until the page went up on Patreon and a few readers commented on it there as well. I guess I did a fairly good job of getting his inspiration down if people are recognizing it. Although now I'm a little worried that people will think that it's supposed to be that character... I might need to make some adjustments to the character design to make it more distinct...
