I've been really getting into the D&D campaign I've been playing with my wife and our friends from PIllow Princess. I played D&D briefly when I was like... 10, but we didn't really follow the rules and treated it more like a JRPG with a bunch of random battles and way too overpowered weapons given out as rewards early on. But it's something I've always kind of liked in theory, and before playing this game I even regularly watched videos or listened to friends stories about stuff they did in their games.

2021-12-31 01:09:08 D&D is the absolute best! Problem I've always had is finding enough committed people who don't give up after one session. But once you do there is no limit to the fun that can be had. By any chance do you watch Critical Role? If you are looking for a good D&D show then it's one of the best out there.

2021-12-31 01:09:08 Yeah, after getting more into D&D I saw some really cool fanart of Critical Role, and I wanted to get some context on what that was so i sought it out. I've been watching/listening while I work on art for the past couple weeks... if nothing else I've learned about some game mechanics I didn't pay much attention to before (like concentration). As for getting a group together... I think it helps that everyone in my current game just connects through Discord and we have an experienced DM, so it's easier to get everyone together since we all just play in our own homes, instead of having to meet up somewhere.
