11-25 (Patreon)

We're making progress! We've reached $485/month now, so only $15 until we reach $500 and the comic starts to update in Cel shaded colors every day! I wanted, though, to talk about something that's a bit of an irritation on my part. Lately I've been getting a number of people who create a Patreon account for $5 or more, gaining access to the Patreon page, then cancelling their account. I don't intend to adjust my Patreon page to restrict pages until payment is sent (in that case everyone would have to wait until the first of the month to get any Patron awards), but I just wanted to ask anyone interested in the Patreon to not simply fake their donation to get what they want. I know that the pages on the main page update a decent amount of time after the pages are actually drawn, but all of the pages do eventually go up on the main site for free. And if you're interested in seeing the Patreon-exclusive pages for Side Dishes, the pages are updated in hi-res for all patrons no matter how little they contribute (although I htink the minimum for Patreon's system is $1). And for $5+ patrons... today's been kind of weird so I won't be able to get a comic page finished for early access. But I also don't want to get too far ahead because we're already two solid weeks ahead of the main comic, and we're right on the edge of the $500 color page threshold, and I don't want the casual fans and $4- Patrons to miss out on the color pages for more than two weeks after the color pages start to go up.
