Part of me wanted to do more BCC today to get as much of a backlog completed before leaving for Christmas, but I didn't want to make CGI have to flat a comic on his birthday. I'm not very good at giving out gifts, but CGI is such an integral part of the comic that I really should be giving him something like this on a weekly basis lol. For those who haven't heard me talking about him before, CGI is the flatter for BCC and well... pretty much everything I work on. If you don't know the term, a flatter is someone who lays down the flat, unshaded colors on an illustration. It's tedious work, since it's much more technical and rigid than the more in depth coloring that eventually takes place. When I first started coloring BCC I mentioned off-hand that I would have probably started doing pages in color sooner if I could get someone to flat the comic pages for me, and he immediately volunteered to do flats for me, no questions asked. It's still kind of wild how much he's donated to the series already... even if he was working for minimum wage, the amount of hours of time and effort he's given to this series would be worth thousands. So even if you haven't spoken to him before, it would be great if you all could at least comment some words of thanks to him on this pinup.
