I hesitated on whether or not to even give the Moon Goddess a name in this series. When Dr. Sharktopus was working on the series he wanted to call her "Luna" which at the time I didn't realize was a My Little Pony Reference. In fact her own design turned out to be a reference to one of the characters from that series. Without even knowing that, I actually didn't want to use the name "Luna" because it felt overdone and I thought it would make her hard to talk about, since I'd have to clarify who I was referring too any time I talked about her. So I looked up the names of various Moon Goddesses across different cultures. I figured I'd just name her after whatever Wiccans call the Moon Goddess, but it turns out she's unnamed in that culture and is just called "The Goddess". So I looked into a bit more and looked for European pagan cultures, which is how I eventually found Mano. Which isn't necessarily her proper "name", so much as the name that Kat learned through her training as a witch.

I know that the D&D setting Forgotten Realms uses the name Selune for their moon goddess, though it's likely that they borrowed from real world mythology. I know they did the same for many of their other deties. Also, I'm liking the world-building going on here.

Good to know what the goddess name is, cant wait to know in the story.

As general info: Luna is the Italian word for Moon (that doesn't look like a coincidence, considering the Italian descent of the Del Ricci family), Mano is the Italian word for Hand (that's just a coincidence ofc :p).

Definitely looking forward to when she and Karen finally meet (or at least I hope they do)
