BCC 26-41: Hi-Res (Patreon)

The decision to make Kat's "father" a sphinx was kind of arbitrary... she was initially designed with just the idea of her being a witch's familiar, and it was only after Dr. Shartkopus and I started seriously planning for the comic's future that we decided she would actually be Anastasia's daughter. So it made sense for her father to be some kind of cat-like creature, and the Sphinx seemed like a fun choice. We never did actually design the character, though, and her design was actually done by Rainbow-Flyer, who did a lot to flesh out the character and make her more than just a weird piece of trivia in Kat's backstory.
