Hello dear Patrons!

The last release of Beyond20 was only two weeks ago, but there's so much stuff to do, and with so many of you being here because of your love for my extension, I wanted to give some love back into the Beyond20 extension earlier than planned.

I've already reached 90 000 users, and with that many users, the number of bugs found and feature requests have grown really fast. I also know (from everyone who answers my personal welcome message) that half of my patrons are really only interested in Beyond20 and with all the work I've been doing on The Forge, I didn't want to neglect you either. So I'm going to work on Beyond20 for the next few days, catch up on the github issues and add some new cool stuff and make a release earlier than I had originally planned.

I also need to take a little break from working on The Forge after spending 16 hours a day on average working on it for the past 10 weeks (the new server is all setup now and I'll move everyone to it in the next couple of days, I'll announce it soon in a separate post). Now that the more urgent issues are out of the way, I can breath a little easier.

To celebrate and since I had so much fun last weekend when I streamed myself demoing  Trigger Happy (module for Foundry VTT), I decided to stream myself coding on Beyond20. I've done it before, so I know It will most probably be a very boring stream for most of you, but if you're interested in that sort of thing, feel free to drop by, see me work, chat with me, ask questions or give suggestions. I have some great things planned, and I can't wait to show them off :)

I'm not sure when exactly I'll start (I still have to go through some of my emails), but probably in an hour or two. You'll find my stream on https://twitch.tv/kakarotodm so follow to get notified when I go online, or just check back later.

See you soon :)

Coming back to this post just to say a belated thanks for streaming your coding sessions. Watching you hop through code for an app I love and working through comments in Git has rekindled my love for coding. I only used twitch for a DnDBeyond login before. Yeah, I’m almost 50 years old and the last time I developed anything was in Java SE5 and we were excited to be using a new thing called ANT. I’ve supported Andrew at Foundry for a long time and can struggle to keep up with all the Discord modder discussions, but since seeing what you can do I’ve propped up an Ubuntu box and dropped in the node.js and ngninx and am remembering what it feels like to build. Just thanks for what you do and keep doing it.

Thanks :) Glad to be motivating you to poke at the dev side of things again! :) I remember java and Ant... it used to be cool, lol. :) I haven't touched that since 2006 I think. All I can say is that I've learned that whatever language you code in the most often in recent times is the one you like. I seem to switch from one language to another and the latest is always one that I find cool because I get used to it. Thanks for the support and for keeping me company during the stream :)
