Here is a quick review of last months releases, a bit later than usual as we just got back from UK Games Expo!

Bharzul

Observatory

Despite having a reputation for being earth-dwellers and lovers of rock, the Dwarves of Bharzul have an equal affinity for the night sky. Many of their lore-masters will consult the celestial records when debating historical currents and events, and the common folk take guidance from the phases of the planets and moons when making important decisions.

Astronomer Cri runs the Observatory, which is located on a small plateau in the mid-city. The record halls are open to the public by appointment, and the gallery is often filled with dwarven schoolchildren viewing the planetarium. Cri has a deep love for the stars and planets, and it is her greatest joy to share it with others.

Depository

The depository is one of the oldest structures in the city. It is built directly into the mountainside and extends downwards. How far down it goes is not entirely clear as the number of levels seems to differ depending on the phase of the moon, day of the week and the general need of whoever is browsing.

Aside from the top and bottom levels, each subsequent layer is almost identical to the ones above and below, aside from its contents of course, and with the lack of visible daylight it is possible to get lost within its walls, fully engrossed into whatever you are reading.

Into the Wilds - Arctic 01

Snow Fields, Tundra & Windswept Dunes - The arctic region is miles and miles of freezing white emptiness, broken by the occasional patch of dead foliage or broken ice. Without proper equipment and training it's very easy to get lost, travelling in circles until the bitter cold penetrates your bones. Even for those familiar with the area it can be treacherous as the icy winds shift the terrain, hide landmarks and obfuscate danger from hour to hour.

Frozen River - Despite being frozen over, this river is a source of sustenance in the bleak tundra. Below the thick ice there are still fish to be found if you know how, just be careful not to fall in and keep your eyes peeled for other creatures also searching for a meal.

Frozen Lake - Under the thick snow it's not immediately clear where the lake starts, but as you step out onto it the ice seems to hold. The other side of the frozen expanse is visible even through the blizzard, so you feel comfortable slowly crossing one step at a time. Its not until you are just too far out that the spidering cracks start to form.

Encased in Ice - The ice beneath your feet seems impossibly thick. In most places it is covered by snow, but here and there the swirling wind has exposed it to the air. Its hard to make out the depth, but occasionally enormous dark forms can spotted frozen in place. Whatever they are, or were, they must be dead....right?

Eastwatch Garrison Exterior Scene

Eastwatch Garrison houses the local guard barracks and jailhouse. The Dragonborn Captain of the Guard and Justice Keeper, Regis Forlorne, is a by-the-books militant type who demands perfection from his recruits. Unbeknownst to them however, he leads a double life in the cells below the garrison. Some have remarked how prisoners occasionally disappear, their records seemingly expunged, and the moans heard in the night? Probably just the wind.

A watchtower in the city of Bharzul has been struck by a lightning bolt which has opened a portal to the Elemental Plane of Air. The guards posted at the tower are outmatched against the elemental forces that now run rampant within its walls.

Dipolar Gages for 5e & PF2E

While they may look intimidating to strap to your hands, these gloves do have a certain attractive property to them. Fashioned from specialized, drudgework style magnets infused with an ever regenerating magical electric core, these gloves offer their user the power to attract or repulse magnetic metals such as iron, steel, and nickel.

Drudgework Skitterer for 5e & PF2E

Scrambling and skittering metallic tinks and clacks are often heard within the complex machines that make up dwarven cities. Machinery that automates much of the mining work as well as many aspects of daily life are key to dwarven societies. So key, in fact, that they needed to make sure that these machines were never left to fail. It was a point of pride for several dwarves on how long they could keep something running without needing to shut it down for maintenance until one inventor changed the scene entirely.
