Content

Hi Everyone,

I have decided to switch to hosting my content on MyAirBridge (MAB), as it has great storage allowances, no limits on downloads with the highest available package, and I think it will be easier to use generally than dropbox and some of the other competitors as well.

I have also added ZIP files to the posts that can be downloaded directly from Patreon if you prefer, but MAB has the advantage of allowing you to choose which of the files specifically you want.

MyAirBridge How-To

The download process with MAB is pretty simple and intuitive, but just in case here are step by step instructions on how to use it. These instructions are also attached to this post as a PDF.

  • 1 - Click the download link at the top of the post

  • 2 - Agree to the terms and conditions (you will only need to do this the first time you visit MAB)

  • 3 - The relevant folder will open and you will be able to view the files/folders. Either select 'All' at the top to download all files, or using CTRL/CMD to click and select which files/folders you want to download.
Then Choose to either download 'As a Zip Archive' or 'As Individual Files' in the top right.

  • 4 - Wait for the download to complete (this should be pretty fast as I have paid for the highest available priority). Then check your allocated downloads folder to find the files.

If you prefer to use the ZIP files directly from Patreon, these can be found at the bottom of the post. Just click them and the download will begin.

Let me know in the comments if you have any further questions.

Is there a post with a compilations of zip downloads that ARENT MAB? I've been trying to browse and download MAB and it's *very* slow. I actually came looking for a specific map and am unsure I will ever find it because even previews in MAB don't load...

Hi Jeff, MAB isn't really intended for browsing the content, its just a storage solution. If you want an easy way to browse al of my maps and their variants, I recommend looking at the map gallery on my website - https://www.tomcartos.com/map-gallery

This is worlds better! Thank you!

Sophie Campbell

I tested it, seems to work just fine for me!

Trying it out I went to the ITW Rural 01 page and clicked on VTT download. Took me to MAB page with the four weekly bundles. Double-click on week 4 and it takes me to a folder with both Print and VTT files. Is that expected? I expect I'll stick with the zip downloads from the Patreon page.

tomcartos

Yeah that is correct. If you just single click the folders, you can download the whole pack using using the download button. MAB just gives you more control over which files you want, but if you are grabbing the lot, the zips will be easier.

Arsenico13

Testing it now... Looks like it's working :)

tomcartos

Oh actually just re-read you comment. No the rural pack shouldn't show both print and vtt, but that is my mistake in where I uploaded them. Will be an easy fix.

Phergus

Okay. As I always just want the VTT files, clicking on the zip download from the Patreon page will still probably be the simplest route.

Tested and it works great. Love the possibility to dl multiple maps as multiple files!

Glad to see you're trying MAB now. I like the system quite a lot. Say, does this moving process mean that older downloads are not available atm? I was just trying to download the city gates maps from the big city map pack and got another 404. Or is that still the ban on the dropbox account?

Sean Evoy

Seems to work OK for me. It is as easy to use as the Dropbox option. I appreciate not needing an account as well.

tomcartos

Thanks again for the suggestion! It seems to be ideal. The older content should still be available. There is currently no block on the dropbox, and the City Gates link is working on my end right now. Could have just been that dropbox was down in general for a few minutes, also happens occasionally (another good reason to switch)

virtuadept

Worked really good. Super fast. Nice interface. I like this better than dropbox to be honest. The only downside I guess is not being able to stash it on my personal dropbox account, but I don't put VTT stuff on there anyway because it fills it up to much, haha!

Quick question about the new service, Are we suppose to see a preview of the files or just the name? I know it is a change from before, just wanting to know if that the norm or if I needed to adjust something.

tomcartos

You can still view a preview by double clicking the JPEG or PDF. If it is a JPEG you should see a thumbnail too.

Thanks, I will check that. And Thank You for all these VTTs. They have been sooo helpful for my Roll20 game night. Working on another map now and was downloading the newest one when the no preview issue came up.

tomcartos

They may just take a few seconds to load, depending on your connection.

Download worked great. I kinda prefer it to Dropbox actually. Also, just want to say I absolutely love the Into the Wild series. It's where 70% of the maps I actually use in my campaign come from, and has saved me so much time trolling the internet for maps. The big multilevel maps are great (and what brought me to your Patreon) but the small ItW maps are so useful for the everything in between of campaigns. Thanks for sharing your talents with us!

tomcartos

Thanks Kimberley, you are very welcome! I think that is the case for a lot of my patrons, I'm glad the ItW series are so useful.

Edit: I found the links to the dropbox download from one of your bundle pages Hello! New Patron here. I am not seeing this MAB download link that is supposed to be at the top of this post. Is it still there or was it removed for some reason? Also, I am looking for the Clone Lab map, which is about a year old. Is this yet available? I didn't see a link on the post page. Thank you!

tomcartos

Hi Thanks so much for joining! This post is just explaining the new system, you can find links for each individual creation on their posts, all of which are linked on the pinned Notice Board at the top of the feed: https://www.patreon.com/posts/notice-board-39814869

Rob Cantermen

I downloaded the Loof Lirpa mansion and they are all just blank grassy fields.

tomcartos

Hey Rob, you might want to check the release date, and the note at the bottom of the page on that one. Also try reading Loof Lirpa backwards ;)
