Hey Everyone!

Happy New Year to all of you, I hope your 2021 is getting off to a good start. I have just moved in to a new house after a 2 week break, so am starting the year fresh and ready to go!

As the house set up is taking a little while, the usual release schedule will begin in earnest next week, but for now I have a few polls for you all to help decide which direction we will be going in this year.

First up is the poll for the next main map series theme. I have three more battlemap sets planned for the Big City series, with a special map in the works for next month, but once that is done we will start the next series based on the results of this poll.

The options are as follows:

The Frontier - Life is hard out on the fringes of civilisation, but that hardness both attracts and builds a certain kind of person, a certain kind of people. Exploration and innovation guide those pioneers seeking a new life out here on the edge, free from the strictures of society, but it is not without its own dangers.

This theme will include maps such as frontier town buildings, refugee settlements, bandit camps, border fortifications, transport hubs and more. Perfect for a campaign set in the Wild West, Frozen North or any far fringe society.

The High Seas - The world is more water than land, but much of it remains unexplored or at least unknown to most. Those lucky few who get to experience life on the seas know both the beauty and the peril that comes from such an existence.

This theme will include maps such as new ships and boats, hidden coves, underwater worlds, pirate settlements, floating villages, island fortifications, shipwrecks and more. We will also explore some of the locations from the 'Sinbarr Island' setting. Perfect for a seafaring campaign, or one that is likely to have inter-continental travel.

Crossing The Planes - The material plane is just one of many, and by most accounts the least interesting. Those with an inquisitive mind and daring nature may seek out the places where it crosses close enough to the other planes of existence and take the leap.

This theme will include a collection of maps from the Inner Planes: Feywilds, Shadowfell and the Elemental Planes. Perfect for those higher level Planeswalker campaigns

Modular Map Sets - These map sets will include a variety of seamless textures and modular assets to allow you to quickly put together your own custom maps, plus a pre-made sample map to get the inspiration flowing.

This theme will include cave systems, dungeon tiles, building assets and more!

This poll will end on Sunday January 17th

I have a pirate campaign in mind, other sea maps would happen at the right moment but all your maps are very much appreciated! Happy new year and thanks for everything.

Even if one of the other themed sets wins out in the end (and they all seem pretty cool) I really hope we one day get some modular sets. They're the most useful as we can take assets from other themes and have an endless variety of maps we can make. Especially if they can somehow transition/connect with some of the premade maps so we can extend then even more!

Something that could also be used in Deadlands would be awesome. Nobody is doing that.

The Frontier (voted) or High Seas are great for my plans. Thank you for asking!

If this could be supported in Foundry (such as what baileywiki does), it would be awesome.

Really hard to vote on this one, all of the options sound like they would be amazing!

Happy New Year to you too, Tom. Congrats on the new house. Sounds a great start for a new year. Love the choices and I am so itching for some High Seas. Your description of what you could create really intrigued me. Thank you.

The Planes, please! They are way more exciting than the Material.

If it ends up being The Frontier, will those maps all be usable in a fantasy setting or have a variant which is?

Hi Mike, Yeah I'll make sure they are all appropriate for a fantasy setting regardless of which gets chosen
