This months Character Token Pack is a set of Villager NPCs. There are 48 light skinned, dark skinned, costume and tool variations in both standard 'token' and portrait 'pog' format.

These tokens were created with the Token Vaults customisation features in mind, and the fully customisable set will be included in the backer kit for anyone who pledges at the Token Member tier or above. This set has more than 1600 different model combinations to create unique NPCs, not to mention the infinite colour customisation options.

Very nice tokens. One of the best commoner tokens I have and I got plenty! Any chance You will tackle some rare monsters next? There are some niches when it comes to tokens that are still untouched by any artist and those niches might draw new patrons to You. If You want the list of those niches let me know :)

Hi Necxelos, I'm always happy to take suggestions! I'm going to be focussing mainly on PCs and NPCs, but I'm thinking about bringing in another artist to help out with monsters and creatures in the near future. Have to be a bit careful with monsters that aren't in the SRD though, they can't be too close to existing IP or I'll get in trouble.

2023-02-16 20:42:38 No worries about SRD/non-SRD. It's just a matter of renaming the monster. For example Beholders and Illithids are considered product identity, yet most token artists did them already, including Jan Loos. He even did Strahd himself and he is not the only one (several artists made this iconic Vampire). But what I had in mind is not exactly D&D. Pathfinder is 100% Open SRD and races such as Aeons, Proteans or Psychopomps are still untouched by artists. Than there's Warhammer and Chaos Deamons. I think Devin Night did like 2 or 3 of them but noone else tackled those since.

You do need to watch out a little more with Games Workshop IP though, as they're very aggressive about protecting it. I'm starting a WFRP play-by-post, so I'd love some Warhammer stuff, but Devin had to take down his recent "Blue Heavy Armour" guys, because they were obviously GW 40K Ultramarines and he was selling them. Having said that, quite a lot of Devin's other sci-fi tokens are clearly renamed 40k designs (e.g. Tau and Tyranids) and GW haven't bothered him - so it's just the really iconic things like their space marines.
