One of the oldest and largest buildings in Iido, the Inn and Bath house is the heart of the community. After a long days work all of the farmers, merchants and artisans find their way to sit by the warm fire, listen to music and catch up on the local gossip. Unsurprisingly it has become the unofficial headquarters of the rebellion. Initially it was spoken of only in whispers, but this evening Takano, throwing all caution to the wind, can be found on stage, riling up the crowd.

Unfortunately for him, a small group of Katamori's guards are making use of the baths and dining in the private room. Overhearing his speech, they can send for backup and confront Takano, attempting to arrest him. They are overpowered by the crowd, but more guards arrive quickly and the two small forces are evenly balanced. 

If the party have sided with Takano, they are likely sitting in the inn listening to him talk, but if they have chosen to aid Lord Katamori they will arrive with the reinforcements. If they have yet to take a side, this will probably force them one way or the other to join in. Takano's men will do all they can to protect him, and he will most likely escape out the back, but the rebellion is no longer just a matter of words and ideas, it has become a fight for control of Iido and her people.

This is the fourth set in a short series of map sets that will form an entire Feudal Eastern Asian inspired town. This could be an alternative 'Starter Town' to the more european inspired Ostenwold set, or be placed anywhere in your campaign where you want to provide a different flavour or cultural experience. These maps were created as a commission for an L5R campaign, and the client has kindly allowed me to share them with you.
