A few hundred metres south of the Ziggurat of Cihua is Cihua'tal, a small settlement of lizard folk who worship the serpent goddess. The tribe is scattered throughout the surrounding jungle in small groups, but the centre of the community is here, and in times of celebration or danger they will congregate together.

The Ziggurat itself is closed off to all but the high shaman, Tlama Qrutzasz, who lives in the large hut in the North West of the village, and acts as both a spiritual leader and healer for the tribe. The warriors of the tribe, which constitutes all adults capable of wielding a spear, train in the Calmecac on the Eastern side of the village, a building which serves as both a garrison and town hall. They follow the orders of Atlax, the chieftain. A small market place serves as the centre of trade for the tribe, with good such as tools, pottery and textiles traded for fruits grown in the jungle and hunted animal meat and pelts.

Following the party's descent through the Ziggurat, they will have to pass through the small settlement on their way out. How they are greeted will entirely depend on the choices they made when face to face with Cihua's avatar.
