New Year Update (Patreon)

Happy New Year Travellers!

It's been a little while since I gave you all an update, and this seemed like a good time.

It's been 5 months now since I started this Patreon, and we are very close to reaching $500 per map set, an achievement that has completely surpassed my expectations and it is thanks to all of you! I am incredibly appreciative of all your support and will do my best to continue to provide high quality maps and assets.

Some of you were kind enough to fill out the survey I sent out a little while back. The results were very helpful, and I am taking them on board. There were a couple of questions regarding how you like the maps formatted, specifically whether or not to include stairs & doors on the unfurnished maps, and whether to have the lights 'on' or 'off' in the night maps. In both cases the majority chose to keep the format as it currently is (stairs and doors to be left in and lights to be on), but there was not an insignificant number who chose the alternative.

I do not want to upload every possible variant of each map, as it will be incredibly time consuming and will fill up both your and my storage space, but I am looking into a way of including simple layered PSDs as a future tier reward. I won't put a specific date on this, as it will partly be dependant on when the internet in my area gets upgraded, as the file sizes are very large, but this will hopefully allow you to further customise the maps once it is available.

You may notice on my front page that my next 'goal' is to reach $1000 per map set. If I can achieve this, then I will be able to dedicate all of my time to Patreon, rather than just my evenings and weekends as I currently do. This will mean I will have the time to make some of these quality of life improvements, make larger more detailed maps and start to think about additional rewards. The highest voted possible future rewards in the survey were for Town Maps and Monster and Hero Tokens, so this is where I will start once I have the time.
This is still a way off, but thanks to all of you it is looking like a realistic target for this year.

I am still planning on collaborating with DMDave to start releasing monthly adventures tied to my maps. We are just working out logistics at the moment as Dave currently has a lot of projects on. If you don't know DMDave, check him out on Patreon or Instagram. He is incredibly productive and releases monsters, adventures and plenty more on a very regular basis.

I will be releasing two more maps in the 'Big City' series before making a start on the new 'Ancient Worlds' theme at the end of the month. This is a bit later than I initially anticipated, but I had a couple of maps that I felt needed to be included. I am excited to try something new, I have lots of ideas already.
