Hello, again!
This month I've mostly been wrestling with game stuff - my idea was to make a 3D game that plays more like an old point'n'click. You have to walk around and collect things and talk to people to gather what you need to transform your enemies into uber-bimbos, etc.
But I'm finding that a lot of what works in point'n'clicks doesn't really translate well to 3D. It feels more like a pointless, wander-y fetchquest.
It turns out that translating tech demos into actually, you know, FUN games is a rather fiddly process, and one that I'm still trying to make work.
Oh well.
At the same time, in Video-world, though - I've been upgrading my renderer and physics engine. Doing this kind of stuff, I find you pretty quickly have to answer the question "which is better: something looking really real, or it looking really sexy?" ...And I tend to go with "sexy".
But I still very much do want to improve the realism of my animations, and hopefully this is all a step in the right direction.
So I've rendered out a number of alternative versions of previous shots that I've used, using new materials, a new renderer, and new physics.
(...I'm still trying to dial in those notoriously fiddly boob-physics, as you'll see...)
Anyway, this can be seen here:

...Or is attached below.
I've got a lot of interesting ideas for things I want to try next, so stick around.
...And thank you SO much, as always.
