This is the full demo map. It includes a stretch of road that's accurate to real life, then some new original roads around it.

In the UI map you get to see how the 'story' progression of the game works; Your goal is to control the map with your crew. You do this by taking over Parking Areas, toll booth speed traps(ETC) and Time Trials (Drift zones will be in non-highway maps).

ETCs and Time Trials are freeroam challenges that you complete by yourself. These are linked to a parking area, "LINKED PA" in video. All of these combined act as the "Strength" of the Parking Area; the more linked challenges you control, the less-likely it is that another crew tries to takeover your Parking Area. This also works if you are trying to takeover another crew's Parking Area, as you will takeover the PA faster if it has low strength.

Once you control a PA, you will have to defend it by keeping the strength high (keeping a high score on all the challenges) and by winning Crew Battle events. Which are boss races that occur if you let your strength get too low. If you lose this race, your crew will lose control of the PA.

All this is done procedurally, so it will be different on every playthrough. e.g. Different teams will control different areas, you will have different choices to join different crews.

If you choose to not join a crew, like in this video, you are considered 'neutral'. You can takeover a PA but you will not keep control of it; the ownership will change to another crew the next night and your rep is reset back to 0.

The car in the video has 720hp (with max cooling upgrades) and full handling upgrades.

This was captured in a development build so the performance is a bit spikey at times, but I was doing performance tests earlier and on my PC(1660 6gb, 16gb ddr4, i5 4690); I get a solid 150+fps in freeroam on very high settings at 1080p. A lot of work has gone into making the game run well at high settings for average PCs. Peak ram usage is also around 5gb, so if you have 8gb it should fine.

Hi Jem, nice to see all the progress over the last year or so. Will there be highway battles with AI you meet while roaming, like in TXR? Really looking forward to the game!
