Recreators does get a lot more deep with their story. Also I think you missed the poor girl’s joke 😞 and her simpler explanation of what she meant 😞

From what I got from the first episode: I wouldn't see the protagonist as a shut-in weeb yet only because he likes a certain anime. He seems to be someone that wants to draw or maybe write (so he is way more creative than the usual (reverse) Isekai protagonists) and simply brought a girl from an anime in the real world. Than there is weird talk about "creators" from the girls and the thing that he considers himself only the narrator of the story which really intrigued me to watch more.
