Dressrosa is one giant arc, it’s separate to make it look less gigantic on streaming services like Crunchyroll and Funimation

Juri Krebs

Not only is sugar strong but she is much older then she looks like. That was stated in her introduction i think you missed it shes accually 22 years old!

Annelies Michiels

Yeah, you totally got duped xD As others have mentioned, she's a lot older than you realized.

SpartanManJDOGG

Lao G is definitely my favorite member of the doflamingo family outside of Doflamingo himself. I find myself doing the "G" thing all the time.

Interesting thing to think about. Kin'emon and Momonosuke both know that Kanjuro is being held in Dressrosa. That means he hasn't been turned into a toy, otherwise he would have been forgotten.

as you like to say, "It's about to GO DOWN"

So Dressrosa is one very long arc divided into two, the third longest arc with the Summit War currently being the longest and the current ongoing arc at a close second and getting ready to launch a blue shell to overtake Summit War's position. Now why they chose to divide Dressrosa where they did I won't say just yet, but you'll understand when you get there. I don't know if you ever played the game Chutes and Ladders, but that's what these castle infiltration episodes feel like to me. As for Sugar, it said in the episode that introduced her that she's not really a kid, that at the moment she ate the Hobby-Hobby fruit that her ageing process ended, making her much older than she looks. Now I don't know if you would be up for it, as I don't recall you having done so before, but you might consider making the next 3 videos each 4 episodes long. If you can't do it, if you don't have the time or find it too exhausting or whatever I'll understand, but it'll provide good pacing against this beat of this arc and give you plenty of hype each video. To wrap up I'd like to thank you for continuing to react to this awesome series. I'd especially like to thank you for standing your ground against those who criticized Dressrosa's "bad pacing" and attempted to "encourage" (i.e. browbeat) you to watch the One Pace version instead. Though it may be longer, I'm of the opinion that it's better to watch the original version on your first viewing, and if you need to remind yourself of what happened then the abridged version will do then. Thank you for always bringing 110% to each and every reaction, and I'll be looking forward to your next one.

Anime purism means nothing. While I'm happy Ruff is still enjoying himself, One Pace is still the superior experience for an arc like Dressrosa. All of the people who've been critical of One Pace in this Patreon have either never seen it or naively believe that Toei's adaptation is A++ when it is demonstrably full of flaws. This is caused by being a weekly—and not seasonal—anime. It is a simple matter of research into chapters adapted per episode to understand why Toei's version has a problem. They waste so much of your time because they want One Piece to be on TV every week and never take more than a week break. Compare it to any other anime in recent years and you'll see the amount of pages adapted per episode is abysmally low. And it *is* bad storytelling. Happy to see Ruff still enjoying himself. Let me reiterate that. But the only "browbeating" I've seen is from those condemning the recommendation to watch Pace on grounds of purism. Which is silly. One Pace lets Oda's story get told at Oda's pace, not Toei's, which is why it's so popular with One Piece fans.

Zalied

the sugar things biggest point to notice is she was there at the takeover of dressrosa which was shown to be many years before

Gavynnnnn

Hey, I'm actually on the One Pace team, @Waywatcher Fireson is exactly right. We take absolutely great care to maintain manga accuracy of One Piece while trimming down the filler. We even go as far as to make sure both sub and dub are perfectly synchronized and audio is perfectly fluid.

Jonjo Shelvey

I always see this SonicKing guy even on other reactors' patreons slyly insulting people with a different opinion to his own. People enjoy this anime differently and its completely ok whether you prefer one pace for dressrosa or not. there's nothing wrong with People mentioning it.

Leigh Anderson

Aren't there still huge musical queues that are wrong in one pace? I couldn't have the Music audio jumping or cutting when I know what the song is meant to be like, when I've seen the scene in full a hundred times already. Happy to be proven wrong, link me.

PapaGuni

Im guessing that old guy really like the movie g-force about the hamsters lol

Waywatcher Fireson

@Leigh Anderson Go to onepace.net and try a few episodes out for yourself. People keep spreading mis-information about audio jumps. There are some flaws in the older edits, but many of the old edits are currently slated to be redone. If you want to see what One Pace is like, grab anything from East Blue or even Wano. Or Enies Lobby. Or Water 7. It's all high quality.

KenKen

Dressrossa has 118 ish episodes

In regards to Lao G, my interpretation was that he was screaming "G" because in Japanese, the old men are called "Jiji", which is pronounced 'GG'. There's the G!
