Means of Production (Patreon)

This was one of the of the first WIPs ever posted on my this patreon. So old, I don’t really even draw like this anymore frankly. At several points, I almost scrapped it to just redo it from scratch but stopped myself & instead just decided to hammer it out.

The idea was to visualize a production floor for some sort of berry juice product with rows & rows of berry girls fretting the idea that the powers at be intend to start cracking the whip & expecting more of out of them. I was going for something that felt squished & wet & claustrophobic & moist & steamy & oppressive & dystopic. Inevitably, thanks to my shitty verbose dialogue tendencies, it’s probably just a little too cramped & you can’t even make out that they’re each receiving this message from their own personal ‘entertainment system.’ But there are variants without fog & text & such.

 When I started this too, I kind of wanted to toy with the idea that the more you regularly squeeze a berry girl, the less round & taut she is, instead becoming a little softer & more turgid I guess. Which is why the shapes are a bit tweaked. The more I worked on it the more ideas I started getting for future things though. So after what… damn! Five years! This is finally done! But better realized versions of it might rear their head eventually once I’ve finished up what’s on the docket.

Speaking of which, this is adhering to the list. Was hoping to be just a little further along but I don’t feel like I’m terribly far behind either. Here’s a quick update for those following along.

I’ve been working on both Nitwit & the next Bellflower chapter honestly. I had done a little with Spice Up Your Life, but I ended up kind of reformatting the page in progress just a little to offer a little bit more of a suspenseful lead up. But that’s right up after Nitwit as far as the art pipeline goes! Things are a little out of order, & might continue to be for a minute, but at least they are certainly chugging along!
