Hi everyone! Lots of experiments coming your way (or, at least, being filmed during) this December.

But I wanted to pick your brains to see which of these you'd be MOST excited for. As y'all know, I've been taking the Brandon Sanderson lecture series (for free on YouTube). I've also taken the James Patterson Masterclass before and done a Save the Cat reading + outlining vlog. In that vein, I was trying to figure out which self-study sort of thing y'all would have the most interest in from the 6 options below!!

If you have a Masterclass you've loved OR a favorite writing book that isn't listed as an option, PLEASE let me know! I'd love to add it to my (ever growing) list.

I'll check the results next Friday, the 11th, to see which option wins! :)

No plot? No problem! by Chris Baty

Neil Gaiman's Masterclass has been my favorite of the writing-themed classes I've taken. You would love it!

Stephanie Faye Lilienthal

Uh fun! For books maybe these: Story Genius - Lisa Cron Romancing the beat - Gwen Hayes :)

Also; I’ve seen the Trailer of Margaret Atwood’s Masterclass. I can’t afford it myself but damn that trailer was enticing. Maybe that’s another idea?

Ana Mulholland

i want to take neil gaiman’s master class so bad just for his voice. his voice is incredible.

My NaNoWriMo heart has wanted to read that book for so long; it's only a matter of time! :) Maybe during next year's Preptember/Preptober?? Thanks for the idea!!

AHHH! So glad to hear that. I'm so excited. I know there's a full week on the poll left but I'm now doubting anything will catch that option bahaha.

Loved Neil Gaiman’s MasterClass! I would also listen to him narrate the dullest law textbook of all time if he put one out so I may be a bit biased, haha!

Judy Blume - just because she seems lovely, honestly want all of these videos!

I wasn't a big fan of Bird by Bird, so I wanna see what you think about that one.

I’ve heard great things about Neil Gaiman’s class so that would be a fun one to hear your opinion on! Love any of these choices though so looking forward to whatever one you end up doing!

Maggie Stiefvater has an 8 hour class on Etsy that I am currently taking. It’s very good, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on it!

katecavanaugh

Ooooh, on Etsy!? That's so interesting! I wouldn't have thought about that as a marketplace for courses/classes.

Hayley Haggerty

Is there an option for ALL OF THE ABOVE! :P

I picked Bird by Bird because I have it but haven’t read it yet. I thought this would save time. Lol

I've never done any of these, yet I like one line from the ad of Neil Gaiman's masterclass - "The second draft is convincing the reader you know what you were doing from the beginning", so it would be interesting to see if there are anymore lines like that

Sasha Green

I did the Neil Gaiman Masterclass and it was - magical. I will always vote for Neil. :)

Maggie Stiefvater has an incredible writing seminar for sale on her Etsy! I think it’s $50 but she often sells it for $25 during sales. It’s 8 hours and honestly reframed so much of my thinking about noveling

Kirsten Lund

There are lots of lines like that in the sense that they are so powerful to listen too and they incourage you to go write. He has become my favorite author of all time because this master class introduced me to him. I highly recommend getting master class for his class

I did Neil's Masterclass and it's honestly just incredible. Would love to see your thoughts on it!

Life of Angelina

I've taken Dan Brown's MasterClass and to date it has been my favorite MasterClass ever taken! Although I've recently started Margaret Atwood's MasterClass and have been loving it so far. Would love to hear your opinion on more writing craft books!
