State of the Patreon: The Hiatus is Over! (Patreon)

Dear Mavrip Fans:

As Mavrip resumes activity (Hooray!), I wanted to connect with everyone about what they can expect beginning August 1st.    

First of all, thank you for your understanding.  We received many messages of support and encouragement during our break which means a lot.  Frankly, I was worried we’d be starting from scratch after almost five months away, but most of you are still here.  We’re lucky to have such loyal supporters!

While not all of the issues Riptoryx and I were dealing with have been resolved, the biggest one for me—burnout—largely has.  The past few weeks, I’ve been writing from 5 AM to 8 AM and it’s been the highlight of my day.  I go to bed each night looking forward to the next morning—a complete 180 from my mindset six months ago.

Since my creative juices have been flowing freely, most of the upcoming content will be courtesy of yours truly.  Of course, there will be weeks where the muse isn’t musing.  As someone who wants our patrons to feel like they’re getting good bang for their buck, it’s hard for me to take a week or two off; however, I’ve realized that a short sanity break is better for both my writing and my mental health than forcing things…and that you’ll still be here when I get back! 

Riptoryx and I have discussed the recruitment of reinforcements to reduce the chances of burnout in the future.   He and I will always be the primary creative forces behind Mavrip; however, we plan to work more commissions and collaborations with other like-minded artisans into the content equation.  This will not only broaden and diversify our stock of subversive weight-gain material, but take a bit of the onus off of us.

One such collaborator, TheLustLord, will unveil his illustrations of my most shocking weight-gain story, The Wicked Stepfather, next week and we will debut them here!  And an even bigger collaboration with thy Lusty Lord will be coming soon!  (If you’d like a not-so-subtle hint, check out this musing from 2020.) 

Additional collaborations are in the works and will be announced when the time is right.  I probably won’t do another State of the Patreon in August, but it will return in September.  In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the bumper crop of new material erupting from my twisted (and refreshed) noggin’!
