I know you mentioned Niohuru as part of a larger point about how these shows have affected local scenes but you reminded me - it feels like the Boulets in particular do not set up their girls for success! I know we've heard a lot about the racism and other production issues associated with those two, but even the basic structure of the show doesn't seem like it gives people the experience and preparation they really need for modern drag touring. Niohuru is a gorgeous woman serving vaginal canal and cervix every time but she should be able to walk in her shoes!

(Matt here) Yes I agree 1000%! Also while Niohuru deserved to win I also know she's newer to drag and comes from a conservative Chinese background where it wasn't until she came to NYC during the pandemic she was able to get into this space. So it's not shocking compared to the local girls who have been performing for longer and are much deeper in the underground scene that there is going to be a difference in what their shows are like.
