Ngl, i dont understand why Gyro is a character in the story, and one made out to be so important, he even got an entire backstory episode, for it NOT to be any of the ants in the entire arc as far as im away it felt like it was 100% setting up for the literal king to be gyro, but nope i dont know what the writer was going for with Gyro tbh

Gyro was set up to be Gons Final Main antagonist, as hes said to be one of the most powerful by the end of the series. Ofc we have not seen more of him bc togashi has not been able to constantly pump out volumes.

Yeah i dont really know how to feel with this part of this arc tbh, the entire election mini arc, after the insanely long stressful serious ant arc, i dont like how goofy it gets SO quickly, and tbh like 2 thirds of these new characters look terrible ngl it still doesnt feel right to move on from the chimera ant arc so fast and suddenly

It gets pretty serious once Killua finds his sibling. I think this arc was good for releasing the tension and ending the anime. They couldn't leave us on a cliffhanging with a 12 years Hiatus, lol.

I would have felt really bad if Brovada was the only Ant who didn't find a group or friends to be with. I'm glad that Reina and the Villagers accepted him. It would have been so depressing...especially because he didn't remember any of his past.

Yeah mannn I really loved that beautiful moment with reina and that mom. Characters we barely know in this arc but it’s simply a mother always loving their children no matter the circumstances. So it just hits you. For me personally it hit me just as much as that last Komugi and meruem episode. LOWKEY one of the most beautiful scenes in hxh. So glad Nick appreciated the scene aswell.

It's just world building. That's one thing I really love about Togashi's work is that he gives characters that aren't that important their own stories, it makes the world feel more alive by not just focusing on the main characters. Like in Greed Island when that murderer that was training Gon and Killua got a backstory, yeah it wasn't needed but it was cool to see. Idk that's just how I feel lol

Gabriel, yeah the alluka and gon stuff is good, I just don’t like the whole election and zodiac stuff aside from cheadle The rest of the zodiacs seem way too gimmicky and one dimensional, and most of their designs are plain bad tbh I think this part of the story was just done poorly and didn’t need so many new characters all at once with so much goofiness
