DEMON SLAYER - SEASON 4: EPISODE 4 (UNCUT REACTION)

Comments

michael ESSS

Gotta work 5 more hours then I can get home and catch up on MHA and Demon Slayer new eps 😭🙏

YellowboyRickLee

This season is character development, it will make the next few arcs all the better, trust!

Yung_Defiant

Didn’t like how they off screened the fight like that and how they dragged out the training scene but overall a generous 6/10

Galxctus

behold peak slayer, it doesn't get better than this

yasmina C

"Give this bird an award!" Lol Nick, I'm pretty sure they said Tanjiro's VA is the one voicing him too. Also, no, Muichiro isn't the same age. He's the youngest at 14 I believe

Orieng

Awesome episode!

▪︎Rody_S.▪︎

I loved this episode so much , it was so fun to watch!! it made me laugh a lot

e10

I always like these slower upbeat arcs in anime, makes it hit a lot harder when they kick us back down lmao

SchmutzHaufen

The hashira streching arc...

eatiblegeo18

ok, so instead of us seeing Tanjiro have to actually train and improve he sits and watches for 3 minutes does 1 sparring session and is told "ok you are good enough to move on" then we spend 7 min throwing paper air planes? This is supposed to be a training arc and we have not seen more than maybe 10-15 min of training from our cast between two of the episodes. I like this episode better than the last one but c'mon. I want to see our main character have to learn not just improve and then fill the rest of the episode with filler. This arc is beginning to feel like the Hashira filler arc with bits of story sprinkled in. (I did not watch this episode prior to this reaction and this comment has NOTHING to do with Nick he did a good reaction and if he liked this episode cool I did too but I would just like to see more training in my training arcs) just a tad frustrated with the last couple eps.

eatiblegeo18

I would have been ok with the off screening if they didn't just gloss over it kinda how they did. A conversation with like a rumor maybe a fellow demon slayer corp member saw the sparring session and started talking about it amongst everyone would have been a better way to handle an off screen I think. The scene was still cool though and I liked seeing the Hashira interact in that context.

Shirone

Did Nick stream yesterday for Kingdom Hearts?

kayla_san

I was wondering this too? I wasn’t sure if he said Saturday or today or I missed it 😫

e10

Ig they’re skipping through to save time, since he was there 5 days we can assume he improved until he could match Muichiro in the sparring. But I do agree, they should at least show him struggling somewhat throughout if they’re gonna skip to him being stronger. I hope these next Hashira trainings are a bit tougher and we actually get to see him struggle a bit to improve but who knows. It’s a shame, I’m one of the rare people who enjoy training arcs but they’re skimping on the actual training…

Connor Trueman

Not a spoiler but I think the next episode will be about Genya because he eats demons to gain powers, also Nick I don’t think you’ve realised that Genya and Bakugo have the same VA lol because it’s been that long since DS S3 you’ve started MHA, absolute peak Muichiro content please enjoy it whilst it’s there🥲

Aziz Mouakhar

I think it's bad. Full of fillers. it's only two pages in the manga (litterally). I really liked the scene with Nakime but that's all. They tell nothing with Tokito, it's empty storytelling. Even the fact of seeing the other hashiras now in action lessen the impact of the god tier upcoming scenes. Imagine seeing Mitsuri's abilities before her first time getting in action in season ". This scene would have way less impact. Also, they messed up with the powerscaling. Tokito couldn't bear a 2V1 against two pillars who are in another league. now you will think that he can handle them but it's bs.

Aziz Mouakhar

In the manga it was way better. It does have slow pacing in the manga, and I don't mind it as long as they are telling interesting stories. But in the anime it's full of filler content that isn't interesting at all. This episode was 2 episodes in the manga. Same goes for next week's episode and same could be said for next week's;

Aziz Mouakhar

No ! You could say that for the manga. There are 9 slow-paced chapters that create great character development. But this season is full of fillers (only two chapters this episode). A lot has already been told on sound, mist and love hashiras, we don't need to see them that often. They are telling nothing on them, just empty scenes with nothing interesting. And, Moreover, imo it does make the next arcs a bit worse. Since with the scenes with the wind and snake hashira, they are messing up with powerscaling (tokito that 2V1 hashiras that are on another league), and, they are reducing the impact of the upcoming god tier scenes of the moment when we will finally see them in action. Garbage choices. This arc could have needed only 3 or 4 episodes of 20 minutes at most.

Aziz Mouakhar

Me too. But manga length of this arc was perfect. The anime choices and filler contents are garbage. In manga, this arc was great character development, lore development, and redefinition of the issues, in only 9 chapters (3 or 4 episodes of 20 minutes). Even the action packed added scenes of hashiras fighting mess up with the coherence and the storytelling.

Aziz Mouakhar

Very boring and no character development at all. We know very well Tokito. Nothing added here. The scene with nakime is good and the airplane scenery was emotional but too much extended for what it is. The fighting scenes are awful cause they create incosistencies and they have no purpose. I don t like the studios choices. This arc should have been adapted with decent pacing last year. I usually hate filler content. Especially when we are dealing with seasonnal anime.

Aziz Mouakhar

This fight shouldnt have existed in the first place. It s full of bullshit. Imagine seeing the wind hachira for the first time in action during the Infinity Castle, cooking like a goat. It would have been legendary. Now the impact of the upcoming scenes will be reduced. And dont get me started on the power scaling that they messed up.

Aziz Mouakhar

What character development ? What have you learned that you already dont know on tokito and tengen ? Why focusing on them (and then Mitsuri) for so much time ? The author didnt feel the need to develop them cause she did it already (2 pages each). She focused this arc on Giyu, Ubuyashiki, Gyomei, Sanemi and Genya. Out of 4 episodes, three were full of fillers and empty. The season premiere was good but it should have lasted 20 minutes (2 chapters and half, that s equivalent to 20 minutes).

YellowboyRickLee

why are you arguing with ppl about this, art is subjective, what's good to me might not be good to you, respect ppl's opinions, you're not creating peak anime like UFOtable or else you wouldn't be here arguing with me. I learned that Tokito likes paper air planes and Tengen is disappointed he can't fight with the other demon slayers because he's retired, it's great character development in my opinion and I care more about the characters including the NPC characters that are not hashira

Aziz Mouakhar

You are the one who doesnt respect my opinion. I am allowed to have one and to share it, don't tell me to stop babbling. I strongly disagree with ufotable's choice to extend this arc with filler content. For me, the best they could have maid would be for them to adapt this arc during s3 with 3 or 4 eps. I m referring to the manga and the author's choices which are perfect for me. Worse still, this filler content adds inconsistency to the plot : _ Bad powerscaling (even Nich got mistaken). _ As for tokito, airplanes didn't exist at that time _ Tengen's intention to fight is not manga canon. He indeed never evoked that and never fought later on. So they added these lines for nothing. They are contradictions and not necessary imo.

Aziz Mouakhar

Don't worry, you will have great character development with people that are worth unraveling their character. But wtf mitsuri's content can add to the plot ?

YellowboyRickLee

You're the one that replied to my comment, I made the comment for the reactor Nicholas, not you, I didn't ask for your opinion, don't care about your opinion. If you want your opinion to be valued, go start a reaction channel.

Aziz Mouakhar

You are telling me art is subjective but their motives to extend this season and to add uninteresting filler content is not artistically based. They are extending the show to make more money out of it with no regard to the plot and the consistency. I am questioning their choices that I find not artistical, not the episodes themselves.

YellowboyRickLee

That’s your opinion, I don’t disagree they are trying to make money, anime is for making money, it’s not some humanitarian cause, but a lot of ppl are enjoying the extra content, you keep talking about the manga, honestly I didn’t think the manga was that good and the training arc and infinity castle arcs felt rushed cuz they probably wanted to quickly finish the manga and start making more money by making the anime. I mainly started liking demon slayer because of the anime, not the manga, so I think it’s good they deviated from it this season. It’s only gonna be like 3-4 episodes where they deviate, the season’s only gonna be 8 episodes, not a big deal. Maybe you should try contacting UFOtable to voice your critiques.

eatiblegeo18

Same here I love training arcs and it’s one of the reasons I like HxH so I have been disappointed with the lack of training we have seen, my friend said he thought they could have just made this arc a movie which I agree. Looking forward to following seasons to see what they do bc Demon Slayer is a good show but I feel like it can be a glass cannon where it’s either great or boring.

Aziz Mouakhar

I replied and there's no problem to that. It's a nice thing to debate. I live in France and we always debate on everything. Actually they didnt rush the manga to gain more money. Everybody was shocked that Gotoge finished the manga when it was at its peak in terms of sales. Usually, animes don't make money, they make promotion to the manga. Nowadays, it's less and less the case, and Demon Slayers is a HUGE exception, but finishing the manga that early wasn't a good move, financially speaking. this shows that the author sticks to what she believes the best to the plot. If she has nothing to tell, she won't add futile things. That's her vision of her own story and her ideal pacing ! Ufotable has indeed the right to make money, but I'd prefer it to not intervene with the artistical process. That's what we are blaming Marvel or Dragon Ball Super for today. Money doesn't have to come before the plot's consistency. As we would say in France, they are making a milk cow out of Demon Slayers lmao

THE PRIDE MONTH COMMENT SENT ME

YellowboyRickLee

I don't want to debate you, you could debate with the reactor that you're paying money to watch, but I'm sure he won't even respond to you. He liked the episode and so did a lot of ppl. Animes don't have to go 100% by the manga, the demon slayer manga was pretty good, not great, if it wasn't for the anime I wouldn't have bothered to read the manga. The "filler" episodes are not like hundreds of naruto or boruto episodes, there's gonna 3 or 4 episodes max which a lot of ppl feel adds to the characters.

SchmutzHaufen

YOU should stop yapping. this arc only exists in this length because the anime is about to end and they want to get as much money out of it as possible. fans should stop swallowing everything that is put in front of them. nicely wrapped shit is still shit “it's no use telling a fat guy that he looks good if it's bad for his health” quote from me

Aziz Mouakhar

Boruto has not that much filler episodes. People ignore that the manga is not the only source material and anime canon episodes are indeed canons. Naruto has a lot of filler but it's understandable, it's another time period and it's not seasonal. Nowadays, seasonal anime have very few filler episodes (except for some season premieres) and each one of them is a shame. The purpose of dividing an anime into seasons is to avoid fillers. Some people liked but a lot disliked. I ve just seen a video of a very well known french youtuber that shares my opinion. They are ruining the arc which is interesting in the manga. Moreover, I can't forget about the inconsistencies !! I strongly believe that these episodes tell nothing. It's not interesting, and ufotable is mocking us ! It's a shame. You are telling me it's just 4 episodes. But these four episodes are ruining one of the most interesting arcs. There's a difference between filler episodes that you can skip (like in Naruto), and filler content added in a canon arc. Canon arcs should stick to the manga

YellowboyRickLee

If it went by the manga, the season would've been over already. How can an "arc" be one of the most interesting if it's only 3 episodes? No more replies from me, I've wasted about an hour of my life arguing about something I genuinely don't care much about.

Aziz Mouakhar

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. This arc shouldnt get stretched into a season. If they had added 3 episodes last season we would have had a perfect season 3. It's very interesting for all of the character development of the hashiras that we don't know that much (sanemi and mostly gyomei). The lore drops too (with Ubuyashiki), the perfect pacing, the redefinition of the issues and the reminder of the current state of things. Without forgetting the final cliffhanger which is insane. It's a perfect small arc before the insanity of the final one. These episodes just create inconsistencies with the hashiras that we already know too well. And it's shameful to have fillers in a canon arc of a seasonal anime adapting a manga over for almost 3 years ! I don'k understand why some people don't find it outrageous.

tyla_xoxo

Hes the same age as nezuko n tanjiro is 15 zenitsu is 16 n inosuke is 15

yasmina C

not true. Tanjiro even said himself that Muichiro was younger than him in the previous season. (you can go check again) He's 14, Tanjiro's 15 and Nezuko is also 14.

lucasalvati

he's gonna see in a different way the airplanes scene After all that's going to happen

lucasalvati

for me better Than the manga, adds more stuff I remember that manga I don't care much about this arc instead with the anime I re-evaluated it a bit
