Hey everyone! Here is Dr. Josh's final response to Whaddo You Meme's slavery videos. We hope you enjoy the sneak peek!!

In this final response, Dr. Josh examines five arguments that are leveled either against the reality of slavery in the Old Testament, or against Cosmic Skeptic.

Argument #1 (00:37): "Slavery was necessary, so God did not abolish it. Instead, he regulated its practice."

Argument #2 (5:19): Captive virgin women were not used as 'sex slaves' by the Israelites."

Argument #3 (10:19): "Kidnapping was illegal, so..." (I also deal with the POW issue in this section)

Argument #4 (17:35): "People use Leviticus 25:44-46 because that's all they have."

Argument #5 (20:38): "Exodus 21:21 does not mean that there are no consequences if a master beats his slave."

Old Testament Slavery: Final Response to Whaddo You Meme (3/3)

Exactly what is slavery in the Hebrew Bible? YouTubers often portray it as either an absolute evil or as something akin to modern-day employment, and the reality is actually somewhere in the middle...at least, according to the Hebrew! In this three-part series, Dr. Josh works his way through videos made by YouTuber Whaddo You Meme, who made videos in response to YouTuber CosmicSkeptic...who made videos in response to YouTuber. Allen Parr. Lost yet? Hopefully Dr. Josh can shed some light!
