Last night I was doodling some funny pictures of my cat and figured it'd be a good idea to share some of the stuff in my sketchbook over here! I rarely share it around just because I forget to do so lol

This is my current sketchbook, which has been ongoing since around early 2020, covid didn't give me much incentive to draw on it more often since I was at home and had the tablet available at all times. Most of it is just studies, the personal doodles in there aren't thaaat interesting for the most part but there's exceptions. I'll start sharing studies first:

I tend to stick with ink only when doing studies, long ago I saw Kim Jun Gi draw and the confidence in his linework scared me, dude had no underlying sketch or anything just straight to ink, so I figured if I wanted to have better line control and confidence in general in my work I should do that too, and it worked!

I want to get better at traditional art in general, the texture and tangibility makes me actually prefer it over digital! I hope to do more pieces on paper now that I'll be able to take time off commissions

And with this last one we can segway into my doodles! I chose to show these ones in particular since they show story ideas that I'd like to expand on at some point, and not just xyz character standing nowhere looking at nothing lol.
I find writing on it's own really hard to do (at least for stories lol), so doodling out what I see in my head it's much more doable for me

Some of these doodles are much looser and less refined than others, that tends to be the case since when brainstorming ideas sometimes I get the visual for it in my head and decide to draw it out as fast as possible so I don't miss it lol

The above doodle of Chomp above is actually the rough sketch for this month's poll! I like to sketch out stuff traditionally so when recording it I don't spend a ton of time on the sketching phase alone when going digital

And finally some of my character design process, Milk was some character that I made up for a Newgrounds contest, while I liked her design her outfit was tough to keep up all the details in mind lol, and besides I just didn't think it fits with the world she's in, so there's a bunch of doodles of me trying to figure out what works for her

On that last picture you can also spot some designs for Prea, who was pretty straightforward and didn't change a lot, but that reminded me that I had a doodle that'd be the basis for the story of Double Dealings, going back all the way to March 2019!

Took a while for it to become something bigger, but hopefully in due time you'll also be able to see some of these concepts come to fruition in one way or another

I'm still figuring out what extra bonuses would be after reaching our $500 goal, I think sketchbook tours would be fun to do! Including old ones of course starting from 2018! I think those have more interesting stuff to share, since they include lots of early ideas for characters and stuff, rather than studies like this latest one has been

If you'd like to see more of this let me know!! I have stuff going all the way back to 2014, so I could even share those at some point if you guys want to see lol

Thanks for reading and supporting me!!
