My concept for the story is that Armin lost his beloved best friend Eren from an "unfortunate event", was broken hearted and traumatized, thus dedicated his heart to god years later and became a priest. One day, he started envisioning a demon in Eren's likeness. Armin did his best to avoid him and repress his past, until he couldn't. And so here we are, witnessing his unholiness. They can be in hell together? 😔💘 🔥
