Mmm... our dogs looks very feminine with his legs. Dont like it

Gaikotsu

Thanks for the feedback! I don't really know how to draw more masculine legs to be honest. More angular maybe?

Thruster_Check

I thought of another thing you could do to make T's legs look a little more masculine--just make the knees and maybe his ankle joints look a little more prominent, and yes, a bit more angular.

Thanks for the feedback! Too late for this piece as it's traditional, but I'll keep that in mind for the future. :3

I don’t understand the criticism (except maybe for Airam’s left hand. :). T *is* a young awkward/nerdy guy who is just coming out. He loves and trusts A, but he’s terrified and feeling very vulnerable…. Seems to me you captured that perfectly. Maybe a year from now we’ll see the two of them running and jumping off a pier together. But he’s not there yet. A just looks more “masculine” (whatever that is) because he is so much more confident and comfortable in his own skin. But the leather jacket and chains aren’t fooling anyone. He has the kindness and patience of a saint.

Out of curiosity, what did you use to draw this? Pencils, alcohol markers or something else? What kind of paper do you use, and how important is the paper to the success of the piece? (I can’t draw worth beans, but my nephew has talent and I want to encourage him).

Thank you so much for the comment! Really happy to hear you enjoy the piece! ^^

I used Copic alcohol markers on a regular sketch pad I use for sketching the comic pages as well. The copics work better on a copic paper in my opinion (and it saves some of the "ink"), but I have a bad habit of drawing on the thing that's closest to me when inspiration strikes. I don't think the wrong kind of paper makes a piece worse though, it can actually give it more character and make it more interesting!
