Updated Red Muscle Chapter 3 WIP pages (Patreon)

Hey guys,

Sorry it's been a bit of a quiet month for me in terms of art. Just recently I've been picking back up my work on redrawing and fixing up Red Muscle chapter 3 and felt like it would be a good time to share where it's at just to have something to share before the month is over. These are the only pages I have at the moment with every panel filled out with a drawing in them. It's not much but I always like to show the changes between new and old pages.

The first page got split into two so I could slow the pace down a bit. I think I was always nervous about having too few panels on a page that I was always forcing too many story beats into a single page and not letting the art breathe, so it's been nice to fix that. I also felt like I needed to put scarlet in some actual pajamas, which in this instance is just an old soft t-shirt and some tiny shorts, but I felt like putting her in her underwear doesn't really feel as natural (especially because no one wears a bra to sleep lol). The new drawings in the second page of Scarlet's morning routine are so cute and energetic, I think it feels fun.

I also have this new page where like in chapter 2, I wanted to build out Scarlet being an embarrassing anime nerd so I figured having her talk to herself saying stupid anime shit would be funny. She's not saying anything particularly entertaining but I think her facial expressions changing so much sells it pretty well, especially the panel of her talking to her protein bar which is one of my favorites.

Also, I doodled this small drawing to figure out Scarlet's new outfit, since I felt her track jacket was a little boring and the colors didn't feel very Scarletesque, so here's the plan for what she'll wear instead:

I wanted some lighter, fun colors that don't feel as mature for Scarlet since I'm really trying to show off her youthfulness.

Not much more to say about these, just wanted to give you all an update on the latest happenings with my projects. Hopefully I'll pick up steam on this and have more to show soon, I'm trying to balance my time playing Zelda and working on art a bit better now that it's been out for a bit.
