The Red Muscle Redrawn Ch4 WIP 4 (Patreon)

Hey guys! Time sort of slipped away from me a little bit, sorry this update is a later than I wanted it to be.

This set of pages has the new character I introduced in an earlier post, Edgar's childhood friend and pro gamer, Bananaslamma or Slamma for short. I had mentioned before that I wanted to give Edgar a moment in this chapter but I didn't want to use the store runners since they were based on likeness of real people (even though I changed this in the new version anyways). 

I had this idea a long time ago for Scarlet to have gym coach who's gay and he can get Edgar to start exercising and Edgar would look up to him as a role model of sorts. A lot of that idea has been splintered off into lots of new forms and the aspect of a friend that can show Edgar's approach to all his relationships came in the form of Slamma. Slamma is cool and collected yet at the same time seems quite messy, which makes him a great friend that Edgar wouldn't feel any judgement from when he tells him about his dilemma with Scarlet.

I also included the pages from the old Ch4 here that this new scene is replacing. I thought this moment was kind of funny when I wrote it but it's worn off pretty hard and feels out of place for what I want from this comic.

At the end here I have the new Ch4 cover, inner cover, and first page since they're all done. It's not very obvious on these pages but I've been using a new brush for everything lately inspired by some artists that do some lovely sketchy work and I've been trying to get a little bit looser with my inking. I don't want to post too many of the completed pages before they go up on tapas so I might not show too many more here, but I'm trucking along!

I've been getting back into scribbling more in general lately too, so I have another batch of sketches to post soon.
