I met Emily when I was living in Denver, Colorado. We both worked at the same restaurant at the time. She is a beautiful soul and yoga instructor. At the time I was experimenting with shooting inside in order to experiment with overlay techniques to create abstract narratives. I was supposed to be in grad school in nyc the following year so I was experimenting and playing with a few visions of human body / nature contrast. I was unable to attend my graduate program because the government wouldn’t let me borrow 60k for the one year program. Of course in retrospect it was all for the better. I attend weekly seminars at the school and instead of spending everyday in classes, I had the time to actually produce and sell my art at shows once I moved back here to NYC a few years ago.
