I have been shaving for most of my adult life... partially because of porn and ex boyfriends desires, and partially because of societal norms... it is all intertwined. My work is usually farther away nudes in nature but I’m at a place where I’m ready to push my limits, explore my boundaries, expose the human body in a more up close and personal way than ever before, (while maintaining my naked / nature / oneness/ timeless narrative). During this global time of silence, solitude and introspection, I haven’t shaved, I haven’t paid attention to some of the “normal things” that usually occupy my day-to-day routine. It feels good to be natural, free to be, feel, free, be. Spider plants clean the air and have so much personality. I love them. Supposedly body hair helps humans stay clean too. Both the leaves on the plant and the hair on my body are ‘overgrown.’ We are the same. Two sentient beings just being.
