Soo Yeon is Court Lady Oh, reason why the king mentioned that Hae Soo is like a daughter to her. And Queen Hwang Bo (the other queen) is Princess Yeon Hwa's motjer who was accused of causing Court Lady Oh's miscarriage, though the real culprit was Queen Yoo..

Wook: "Please don't get hurt. Don't make me feel sorry anymore." If a loved one is in trouble, it is not sorry, but heartbreaking and painful. Maybe he is mistaken for loving what he wants. Love is reckless enough to get into a fireball even though you know you're going to die. Baek-ah blocked Woo-hee's sword with his body is the same as Man-wol's kiss to protect Chan-sung. Wook is being like this because of everything that happened with his sister, when he found out she was the one behind getting Hae Soo locked away after the poison incident, he had to choose either his family or Hae Soo.. after the miscarriage of Court Lady Oh's baby that was caused by Queen Yoo(bad one), the good Queen was accused and her family was exiled cuz of it but then they found their way back after Wook married into the Hae's household i think and like the good Queen was always mistreated by Queen Yoo and so Princess Yeonhwa wants Wook to take over the throne so her family can have power and her mother wont be mistreated anymore and all that so yeah..He had to turn his back on her in order to save his family..but ofc he still cares for Soo deeply..but he still cannot do anything about it...sO YEAH its not just for Soo:)

I was really annoyed at the end when Wook blamed everything that happened to Soo on Wang so. Honestly from the beginning of the drama I didn’t like how he treated Wang so and how he always said to him that he doesn’t own anything in the palace. The only brothers who treated Wang so well are the crown prince and the 13th prince.

i recommend watching it's okay that's love, misaeng, or coffee prince! there's a lot of gems among kdramas that aren't SUPER popular just cause they don't have idols acting in it or they aren't stereotypical romances which is unfortunate but the ones i recommended are rlly good! even sky castle but it might be too dark for ur taste who knows.

Aaron, i think it would be good if you would accept that work is not as good as we believed him to be in the beginning. all the characters have changed a lot. we are seeing the growth in wang so, he started of as a character who did not know how to be human, how to interact as he had never done that. but now we see him getting better at communicating, at understanding others, what they feel, and want. whereas we see that wook, although is a nice guy and loves hae soo, when faced with the tough decision, he did not have the courage to go against the king, lose his power and stand by hae soo and save her. he abandoned her. he choose to protect his sister who literally tried to kill the crown prince and deserves the punishment. he doesn't want to go to the past days where he and his family has to live outside the palace, with no power. so, in the end what the court lady was warning hae soo about (not to trust wook, as the palace is a place that will make these princes change for power) came true. and also what the court lady said to wook, that he has chosen to be a coward instead of saving hae soo and that he will be guilty of it for the rest of his life is also true. he loves hae soo and feels guilty so its hurting him but hae soo and his love for her is not his priority in front of the power he has and the more he wants. on the other hand we see the wand so has developed into a character who has become capable of loving someone so much that he literally drank poison for her and was ready to die, stood against the kind and angered him, literally was ready to give up everything for her. in the end, the kind sent him away on a dangerous mission away from the palace (the palace which wang so fought his whole life to enter) as a consequence. that why hae soo said goodbye to him as he also realised how he stood by her and felt bad that she become the reason for whats happening to him. her feelings are wavering, she is becoming more attached to wand so, as seen in the last dialogue when she said goodbye to him.
