IU's acting is very nice Especially when IU sees Mira in the last scene, the facial expression is very good. I can feel surprise + sadness + hatred from her face at the same time

wan wol is neither a spirit nor a human. all the bad things she did (people she killed) for reasons which are too complex was when she was a human and due to that her spirit was tied to the tree and therefore she is stuck in this world unable to age or die and move to after life, as a punishment for her sins. but if now in her form using her powers, if she harms a human, only then she will become a vengeful spirit and thus disappear. there are going to be circumstances, like the end of this episode, which will unable her to choose her own fate. all those years of punishment, will it change her, teach her or... her change is shown through the tree. when they mentioned that she hasn't changed at all that means that she hasn't shown development, growth of personality, she is still stuck in her past. chang sung shakes her, due to which she is starting to move on, or resolve her feeling which cause the tree to change, the change can go in any direction, that depends on her. but a person must go through a full cycle of life, leaves growing, flowers blooming and then withering - feeling the comfort, happiness but also the harshness and the tough decisions. that is what she needs to do, face her sadness, her scars and grow.
