Aaron! The last one with “Teudoongie” the reason they were saying “Twice” is because that’s their nickname!

@Aaron Regards to the weekly idol episode, "Teudoongie" is actually another name for TWICE that the general public came up with. It's a nickname the korean media and general public like to call them. It's a term of endearment that really has no english translation. But closest would probably be "Twibabies" or "Twicelings", as Teudoongie is a combination of "Tuwaisu" (TWICE) and "Sarandoongie" (darlings/lovables, etc). Actually, i think it's pretty cute that most of the Korean general public call them as Teudoongie. If you see media talk about twice they often call them teudoongie more than their actual name, to the point that TWICE themselves began to acknowledge this name and added it into some of their fanchants. I don't think there's any other group that the public has given a nickname to. Also "School Meal Club" is aka the maknae line (Dahyun, Chae, Tzuyu). They're called that because they're the three that eats lunch together since they're all studying at the same school and have lunch together. Twice is made up of three sub units, 3mix (NY, JY, JH) J-Trinity (MM, SN, MN) and School Meal club.

What is also funny about that last one is you had three foreigners Sana, Momo, Tzuyu helping Nayeon a Korean understand a Korean word. Its funny when you think about it and impressive how well they have learned Korean.

When Twice were on one of these variety shows, the producers brought out a Korean grandma and asked her to pick out the foreign members after listening to all of them speak. She thought Sana was Korean. Sana may appear to be silly and goofy, but she really is one smart lady.

This was definitely one of my top 3 fav whisper challenges by an idol group 😂 my other two favs are Red Velvet on another episode of weekly idol and BTS on episode 41 of RUN (iconic 😂). You should definitely check out the Red Velvet one since you're trying to get to know them better!
