You can't say it's 100% the same as the game because gameplay part can't be put like that in a movie. But you can say 80% of this is the same as the game (like the part that as marqued the player). For the zombie thing, you have the answer at the beginning with the interview (not zombies but just a life form who only want to spread). In the game, to find the clue about the infection/infected, you have to find note, etc... in the world. I never played the game, just watch some let's play so I surely miss lots of things. And sorry for my poor english (french guy here :))
