Ok, full disclosure guys - this release was supposed to be another one, a "surprise" projects im working on, but that one is not ready yet, so you're not kept waiting without anything new, i have finished up the gauntlet from "The Stranger'' . The "surprise" project needs a bit more time, but i'm sure you will like it once done :D
ok back to our Gauntlet :)
As you might know, there are not many images available on this one. The character has only the left one, and first thank you everyone who sent me photos, with all of our images combined, i think we managed to find something usable :)
You will notice the gauntlet is a straightforward piece, however i couldn't help it but to make it as usable as possible so i added several versions:
- fully combined - that one is a straight up closed gauntlet for guys like me who can slide their hand through :D - included is a wrist size test strip - use this one to see if you can slide your hand in and out - if you can, you can use this version:)
- 2 versions for magnets that can be open/closed
- top and bottom magnets - same magnets as on my MMV_motorized vambrace, however i just added muuuuuuch more magnet slots so it will be much much stronger
- only top magnets - this one is if you wish to add a leather strip or velcro strip on the bottom part, and is enclosed by magnets on the top
- Slit version - that one is somewhat experimental - i didn't test it out yet, but i wonder if the logic will work, so let me explain the logic behind it :D
- basically there is a slit at the bottom so when you try to slide your wrist in, the printed parts can "extend / bend" a bit so your arm/wrist will fit - both ways. Now, I didn't test out if the filament will be flexible enough, that's why it's an "experimental" but I'm sure we'll try it out soon :)
I also added the "flat top (wrist area)" as an easy print option for you to choose from. Those options are the ones in the 3mf files. if you wish to use the ones without the flat top, just load them from the STL folder ( better suited for resin prints or tilted prints on the filament print bed)
That's it for now :)
