I think Steph might of fell for a twitter troll page with the multiverse thing lol I saw the same post from a fake account

Tempo

okay I'm not trying to be a hater but the waterbending action scenes have been kinda meh. at 12:00 you can see Jet reel back before the water even hits him. Most of the other element scenes have been cool though

2024-03-11 00:47:24 Yeah! Watching this with you guys, it's my second runthrough on these episodes and I think I appreciate how things are going so far much better. As someone that's watched the animated series multiple times, it's kind of jarring to get multiple storylines crammed into these two episodes. (Episode 3/4 featured Jet, Bumi, the mechanist, the Tale of Two Lovers, introduced Azula and her team, and they started going into Iroh/Zuko's backstories). The first time I watched it, I felt kind of mixed. Because all those individual stories got their own individual episodes, with their own thematic arcs. Here in the live action version though, these stories are getting worked into the plot, but sometimes, the vibe of those individual stories changes. Not necessarily a good or bad thing, because some things are better in live action (I personally have liked how they're fleshing out Iroh's backstory, or Episode 2 featured Suki as a talented woman that wants to go out into the world). But a good example of why the translation from animation to live action is odd is the Tale of Two Lovers. In the animated show, that was one of the earlier Aang/Katara romantic moments... but for this show, they included it, but it was changed to flesh out Sokka/Katara's sibling relationship. Largely, the plot events have stayed the same, but some of the vibes have changed. Not a bad thing, but for fans, I can see why people had mixed feelings about some of the writing decisions.
