In case it wasn't clear. Ayanokoji was the one who spread the rumors about everyone in the previous episode. It really wasn't class A. He used Kushida (who we know knows people's secrets) to get dirt on everyone then had the vice president spread it. That forced the school to ban the spreading of rumors and saved Ichinose. But all of that was to serve his goal of learning if Kushida's info was accurate/useful or not. Almost like trying to learn what he's really up against. What will it take to get her expelled.
