wow... here we are

we started watching aot when we used to live in Washington State, Steph was in the military and we were newly married with no children. AOT will always have a very special place in our hearts.

so much sadness in our hearts because over the years we grew to love each character along with the beautifully written story.

rip to all the characters that we grew to love

thank you all for joining us on our aot journey

I started watching y’all’s reactions back in 2020 when I found your season 2 episode 6 reaction. And then subscribed too y’all’s channel during your final season reactions. Feels surreal to finally see y’all react to the ending!

AOT ending wasn’t great but wasn’t the worst like other animes. Great to be on this journey with y’all and let’s pray who couldn’t make this far. 🙏🙏❤️❤️

The titan cycle restarts in the ending when the boy finds the tree. Same as yimir

TONYHWK2021

My boy Eren deserved to be happy man :(

DR Gaming

I just didn’t like how Eren in his final moments we see him talking to Armin because he looks defeated and looks weak. Didn’t like to see him that way. 😅😅

DR Gaming

The emotion in this final Episode was great don’t get me wiring

Story wise this is my top 1 anime/series along Vinland saga (once you catch up), very well written stories that connect with us as persons despite the fiction inside of it, not being shonen but also having the decent amount of action to amaze us and keep us entertained. AoT a tragedy story of hate and prejudices where power falls in hands of a boy that looks for freedom and the best for his people. It is incredible how the content of this anime changes through seasons, to a shonen type, to mistery, to government stuff, seinen completely, then everything at once, its so juiced in content that you forget that it started with people killing titans. To end this im very happy that the scouts suffering got to an end, they struggled so much ( Voice Actors what a f job ) and everyone got something out of this, im so sad for Mikasa, she is the one who got nothing positive because the love of her live had to turn himself into the villain for the sake of Paradis. It hurts me to see the frames where they grew up, time passes, everyone visits the tree where everything started, we getting old, Mikasa passes away with the scarf on and the evolution of civilizations reflecting on how the wars were affecting the island to the point where nukes were thrown, giving us the lesson that the conflicts were not going to be vanished in any of the possible futures that were in eren hands, as the show was telling us, this was not outcome of just Eren decisions, but also every other living person decisions that affect the world. Incredible journey, story, characters, soundtracks and moral lessons for good or bad, i will never forget, so many tears and we leave with a bittersweet feeling because its just unfair... thanks for the reactions, hope we get to see more AoT content from you guys like a rewatch, tier list, commentary or something fun :D <3 Rest in peace eren, you shared love and a better future for your people in exchange of your life even tho you didn't want to die and spent your life with Mikasa, i wish you stayed but also the path we made couldn't lead us to a happy ending...

Rex Tan

I think I kinda understand why manga readers didn't like the ending, maybe because they are people who are so emotionally invested on AOT (evidenced by wanting to read the manga as opposed to waiting for it to get animated) and didn't get a feel-good ending that many of us are accustomed to nowadays. Despite our lives being full of tragedies, there are moments that we can see the beauty of it, and AOT perfectly depicts those bittersweet moments.

Erick

It’s like they say, “a hero will sacrifice the person they love to save the world but a villain will sacrifice the world to say the person they love” in this case eren was both, a hero in the beginning and a villain in the end

2023-12-23 07:31:01 They DID change up a few things from the manga, mostly to flesh things out a bit more. I think the most controversial one was that Armin thanked Eren for doing what he did. In the anime though, Armin condemned the action, but told Eren he was just as guilty and would join him in hell for what they’ve done. That seemed to be the biggest change that seems to have made the anime-ending much better.

2023-11-06 06:08:10 All in all though, while there was some clunkiness with a few things, I feel AOT is such an incredible story and agree it’s one of the greatest anime of all time.

Korin

eren has always been this way, and he finally broke being vulnerable with his bestfriend alone. DW he still acted hard to everyone else. and ps (he looks defeated because he WAS defeated)

Shaw

Even if they went the route with euthanisation. The marely side still wanted to eradicate paradis regardless

twis tempo

Season 1-3 animator Imai came back to animate that action sequence with mikasa entering eren mouth btw

Rye

Man it’s been one heck of a journey. Been following aot for 10 whole years. Crazy thinking how life has been since. Also been watching your aot reactions since who knows when lol. I loved watching you guys because of how much you loved the series. Made it so enjoyable. Gunna miss everything about aot and your aot reactions 😭. Tears were definitely shed. And like you said, aot will forever hold a place in our hearts 😢

Rye

Also seeing “The End” hit hard af. It’s finally over. Thank y’all for all the aot reactions !!!

Cation

Been with you guys since you started AoT... Those memories I will forever cherish. Almost feels like i've been watching it with family members... Thank you guys so much, will forever miss AoT and it will undoubtedly go down as one of the greatest if not the greatest anime in history. Edit: Watching this again with you guys made my cry so much... This episode hurts so much the more you watch it. And that ending is unfortunately how the world is, cynical but the truth of human nature.

fannar f

Fun fact, the first time we see Eren in chapter 1 of the manga he is sleeping by the tree having a dream and at the end of the dream before he wakes up he dreams about Mikasa leaning over him and saying "see you later Eren" When he wakes up he sais to Mikasa "when did your hair get so long?" Mikasa had short hair in the final and long hair in chapter 1

Texenl555

so much love to u guys and the reactions fr. watching all eps again with the reactions really added on to the experience of watching aot alltogether. this journey truly was something special

Cation

Thank you for explaining.. I had no idea why there was so much controversy about the manga ending.. Glad they fixed those small things that could make a better ending. Will always love AoT through and through

2023-12-23 07:31:01 Zeke’s plan might’ve been “better” for humanity as a whole. Zeke planned to do a Rumbling to destroy the allied forces, so that Paradis could live in peace for some time, while the Titans and Eldian Race died out. Specifically for Eren/Armin, they would’ve died within a few years due to Ymir’s curse. Not something Eren would’ve allowed for.

This episode has the most darkest scene in all of AoT imo, and the most impactful, when the Marleyans are getting pushed off the cliff and they all instinctively try and save the baby (there future) very heartbreaking moment, even at the brink of death humans give everything they can to save the future generation...

Serenity Scarlet ( Erzy )

History repeats itself with that kid and that dog. Starting the Titan stuff again.

LuisBnvz

@DR Gaming, as @Korin says, Eren developed this villain version for the sake of paradis and friends as he says in the talk with Armin, the defeated and weak Eren its the real him that actually wants to live with his love ones and didnt want this but he actually gets to show it in this space with his best friend thats the purpose of this attitude, like when you get have to get serious with your girl about a situation but deep inside it hurts you because you love her, you can tell her after that it was for the benefit of both or something.

Tristen Rodgers

That’s his true self tho. It was all an act… to push away his friends so that they may live peacefully and not with the burden

2023-12-23 07:31:01 Ultimately, the entire ending is a tragic ending for Eren. Once he came into contact with Historia (royal blood), he gained the knowledge of what was coming and there were really only three options: diplomacy, Zeke's Plan, or a full-scale Rumbling. Their visit to Marley, where they saw how the world viewed Paradis, ruled out diplomacy. Zeke's plan was probably "better" for humanity as a whole, but would've resulted in the extinction of Eldians... which Eren would never agree to. It's not in alignment with who he is. The Rumbling was really the only route that he could go with his personality. Coupled with experiencing past, present, and future all at once... it all did a number on his mind, and the weight of the atrocity he was committing.. it's not surprising that Eren is a broken man in his conversation with Armin. In a way, Eren's friends "putting him down" was freeing him from the horrible situation that his character was placed into.
