Yeah they call it a one hour special because it’s one hour including commercials and stuff. But if you watch it online there’s no commercials so it’s only 48 minutes including opening, endings and stuff. At this point even manga reader don’t know what’s gonna happen because everything is being changed. To put it in perspective this show is confirmed to have 4 seasons. This is the end of the second season coming up. Firstly you gotta be imagining at this point how are we only halfway through? But more than that the entire arc in the manga only had about 210 chapters. Because the first 2 seasons of the anime were doing crazy numbers like 6 chapters an episode they already went through about 140 chapters in these 2 seasons. So they only got 70 left to spread across 2 seasons. Which means tons of new stuff should happen. I won’t say anything cause it’s possible it got moved to be way later but if this was following the manga completely, yhwach’s backstory would’ve been shown 6 episodes ago. So things would’ve made a bit more sense if they showed that. But for now if you didn’t know the character is actually named after Yahweh/Jehovah. The god of the bible.

Really interesting.. I heard a lot of people had problems with the ending of the manga with the pacing and some stuff left out. I really hope they'll do more as you said. Looking forward to it

in the beginning when Yhwach is taking about the soul king his father all is true the only thing is they haven’t explained it yet but you guys will realize why he said what he said later on
