Glad you both enjoyed the episode. Just to clarify a couple things: 1. The things Gremmy creates are real. They are not mere illusions. 2. He didn't send Kenpachi to space... rather he created outer space from the area around Kenpachi (as in with stars and everything). 3. Gremmy can even create other beings that are powerful enough to become Stern Ritter Love your reactions as always

Also I’m following along with anime I haven’t read the manga but I saw a video that in the manga The rest of the Quincy are scared of the meteor and even the Blonde dude Haschwalth tells them to protect Yhwach. apparently this Grammy Kid was locked up because of how dangerous he is and was let out only for this war. So just my opinion but I’m pretty sure the reason why they have anime characters explain how their powers work is so that the viewer isn’t confused or isn’t left wondering how the character used or how their power works

When he said “drink” to his sword that was him unleashing his shikai. If you go back in the story you’ll notice that everyone says a specific word to unleash their shikai.

I think gremmy would’ve been liked more if he stuck around for longer than one episode but oh well. On the topic of voice actors, inosuke/kirito was as nodt last episode, tenjiro is gremmy this episode. Rengoku will voice another sternritter later on, deku was that soul reaper boy way back at the beginning of the arc. Lots of other big names in the cast too. Fun fact ichigo voices whis from dragonball super.

2023-08-21 22:33:54 The poetry behind Gremmy's death is pretty awesome, even if it wasn't intentional. Remember in order to become Kenpachi you much first kill the previous one. However, Gremmy tried to become Kenpachi before killing him and he was punished for it.

Also Gremmy falls into the category of villain characters that like to play with their food too much, because he wanted to win by crushing Kenpachi so bad to show him what everyone else before him have always felt. Because honestly Gremmy would've won if his IQ was higher, I mean we are talking about a guy that's literally warping reality.

Gremmy didn’t use Voldtandig because he can’t. Not every Quincy can use Volstandig despite it being a normal/common power for Quincies just like Uryu has shown he can use Ransotengai in the past which is a common Quincy power too but not all can use it.

That was really only relevant at the beginning of the series. It's stated the captains zanpakuto would be the size of skyscrapers if they didn't condense their reastui.
