I think the confusion stems from the Targaryian culture of naming their children the same lmaoo. The Aegon that Viserys was referencing, that will unite the Kingdom in the long winter is actually Jon Snow aka Aegon Targaryian lmao. So, Allicent def had wrong assumptions.

idk who was saying that but King Viserys didn't want Rhaenyra's son Aegon as the heir, he just thought he was talking to her and said that he believed in Aegon's(Aegon the Conqueror) Dream so he still wanted her as heir. Princess Rhaenys is kind of a third party here, she sees the act as treason but its not like she Loves Rhaenyra and she doesnt hate Alicent ,it wouldnt make sense that she would be enraged enough to commit taboo and kill her family members. Also, All of Alicent's children have dragons so they have 3 total, they would be larger than Jace and Lukes since they are older, but smaller than Daemon's and Rhaenyra's. The only time we saw them was at Laena's funeral on episode 7.

Fun fact. According to the canon material during Aegon’s ascension to king he rode his golden dragon all over the kingdom which was epic. In the show they cut all of that for the queen who never was to according to the show writers to simply look like a badass which for one is how game of thrones started to go downhill and two didn’t even make sense in many ways especially because the queen who never was could’ve ended the war before it even started right there

Yeaaa, no prob. It can be confusing with different Aegons running around. HoD show is doubling down on the Song of Ice and Fire Prophecy that is etched into the dagger.
