Sweeeet! Fun extra little info about that kid at the beginning of the episode. He and the bully that he dueled with are actually from House Bracken and House Blackwood. Those two houses have a long history of beefing with eachother, so that's why there's a ton of enmity that resulted in a duel.

Yeee, this episode is wild. Without any spoilers for future episodes, I sum it up this way: DAEMON --- Seemingly patches things up with Viserys. But it seems he wants to get back at him by deflowering Rhaenyra. However, he DOES care for her and just can't get himself to do it. Their conversations seem to suggest that they're kindred spirits, similarly strong-willed people... in contrast to Viserys. RHAENYRA --- Frustrated with the expectations of her as princess/heir to the throne. Attracted to/appreciates Daemon's disregard for rules. Gives int to him, but when he can't go through with it, she still wants... mmm, lovin'. So she goes to Ser Criston. She blatantly lies to Alicent about it. She agrees to wed Laenor, but succeeds in getting Otto ousted. ALICENT --- I'm of the opinion that Alicent does genuinely care about the people around her, including Viserys. But her uninterested 'love scene' with Viserys shows that this is how she ''fulfills her duty'' as Queen. All in all, Alicent is the one who 'plays by the rules' and this is even more reason why she's upset with Rhaenyra. Rhaenyra does whatever she wants, while Alicent doesn't. And then Rhaenyra straight up lies to Alicent. OTTO --- Otto HAS been a faithful Hand of the King, but sending Alicent in to Viserys was very questionable. The most prudent and logical counsel was what Lyonel Strong has been counseling: Viserys should have been betrothed to Laena Velaryon and wed when she came of age. Viserys seemed very unopen to it because Laena was so young when they chatted in one of the previous episodes. Otto should have reminded the king that they didn't have to wed immediately, but to enter a marriage pact and marry when she was older. Instead, he sent Alicent to him in the midst of his mourning, when he was very vulnerable. VISERYS --- ''How could you do that to your own niece?!'': Yes, Viserys seems disgusted by the act, but given Targaryen tradition, I don't think that's necessarily the issue. I think the greater issue is that he "ruined" Rhaenyra for whomever is supposed to marry her.

No yall read it right. Daemon essentially corrupted her and now she’s becoming promiscuous and for back then that especially wasn’t good. Throwing her vagine around to any man she craved

That boy Otto got sent straight to China Dillon brooks style

Daemon couldn’t go through with it. He left rhaenyra hot and bothered and that’s why she slept with ser criston

to be fair, viserys marriage with his niece would have been purely political. Daemon genuinely just seemed attracted to mc girl
