I think her popping ability is "increasing pressure". So she can controls the intensity of her ability, from merely bleeding to explosion

Never thought about the difference in head popping. Rayner had a nose bleed too though. That's the only one that throws me off. Would be weird to wait so long to reveal she was a supe. Who knows. Forgot how packed this episode was. Good luck editing that for yt. :D

She didn't try to actually pop Starlights head, it was more like a warning. To show Starlight that she could pop her head if she wants too. With this Episode I also kinda started to dislike Starlight. When she said "I thought you didn't care that I am stronger" and Hughie saying "sometime times I do, a little" Because she is just completely negative about it, doesn't even show a sliver of understanding. Because I think it's just normal that sometimes, even if you are weak, you want to protect the person that you love. And I guess it's fair to say that Homelander isn't necessarily stonger and Butcher, Hughie and Soldeir Boy combined. Because, well Hughie even with Compound V is probably still not really strong, compared to Soldier Boy, Butcher or Homelander. And Soldier Boy probably didn't really used much of his strength to hold Holemander down. Because he was focusing on his Beam. And Butcher and Hughie got a bit distracted when Butcher told Hughie to run away. You could see moments before Homelander broke free that Butcher was looking over to Hughie again. I guess if all 3 purly focused on holding him down, then he wouldn't have gotten away. But that's just my guess.

The problem is Hughie continually lies to Star Light and doesn't show any consideration for how she feels. You cant have it both ways, if he had approached this as someone who was a her boyfriend and not someone with a savior/power complex they could have worked together. He is going after HL because he feels slighted by Vicky not because he wants to protect Starlight. Because if that was the case the moment SL felt too scared to be around him he would have made a plan to get her out. Instead he shot up Temp V behind her and everyone else's back TWICE to join up with Soilder Boy to convince him to kill HL.

Y’all also have to keep in mind that when solider boy uses his explosive ability it drains him significantly. So he is around homelanders level when he has all his energy

There is a couple of things you guys missed, Like Victoria (the one who pop the heads in the courtroom) wasn't testing how long it took to pop open Annie (Starlight's) head because she was able to kill Shockwave (the guy that was racing A-Train in season 1). You also missed Soldier Boy talking about hooking up with Liberty (StormFort), when they was at Herogasm. From what we know, the only thing that changed Soldier Boy was the ability to take someone's supe powers away.
