Not saying it would've been a perfect solution but the doctor explained that Toya's body was more acceptable to ice than his flames I don't get why Rei never tried going to the mountains to help train with him. I feel like if Rei and Enji came together as parents they both could've helped train him.. Enji teaching him control and Rei using ice to lessen the damage. Seeing Dabi now it looks like he eventually taught himself control even with his badly damaged body he's still fighting in top form. IMO they both gave up way too early.

This chapter made tons of split opinions on Endeavor. On the one hand, it shows that his ambitions clouded his judgment and duties as a father, on the other hand, we see that he did in fact, try to Stop Toya from hurting himself. Initially, we are led to believe that Endeavor made Toya do those things to himself but now we know the situation is more of an attention-seeking child who was going down a dangerous path with parents who were too absorbed in their own situations that they didn't seek or get the proper help for the child. That's the most important aspect, and I love that Rei calls it out, raising a child is the responsibility of both parents, Her inaction toward Toya's situation is just as bad as Endeavor pushing it off on others so that he could focus on his ambitions. I think some people like to label things as Black and White, which is why this addition to the Endeavor plotline upset some. It shows that Endeavor's intent was never coming from a bad place, he cared for his family but let his Hero ambition cloud his fatherly duties. This plot doesn't allow you to just see him as an ambitious monster, rather he was simply a flawed person capable of change.
