- The beginning scene with Butcher is meant to further show the similarities between him and Homelander in that they prefer to handle problems with violence, also Butcher picked the biggest/tallest guy in the room which is symbolic of his anger towards Homelander, because he's the biggest guy on the planet (metaphorically speaking)...but they also hint at a possible problem, Butcher beat the big guy 1 on 1, but everyone joined together to beat him down, much like how Homelander is making enemies of everyone around him, they may not be able to do anything alone but if you get a group of top tier Supers then maybe you can do something.

- The scene where Homelander is "going through it" is perfect, last episode he decided that he doesn't need anyone, but you see here that it's not that easy because he was raised as an object, so he seeks real attachment and as it stands the only way he gets that is via his image, the image of being the world's greatest hero is the only thing he has so it really bothers him that it's being taken...and like you guys called out, it's unfortunate that he's going to Stormfront because while Homelander has a superiority complex at least it's not targeted towards race and she may rub off on him. [Also funny sex scene but even with that it's adding to the story, Stormfront is clearly strong enough to take Homelander in more ways than one, so you gotta wonder if other Sups are on that level.]
